The funeral service for Connie Gullixson was held this past Saturday, July 20. Please keep Jim and their children, Brian, Eric, Sarah, and David, and their families in your prayers at this time of grief and loss.

Baptized on Saturday, July 20:  Atlas Aragorn Chrisman, infant son of Joshua & Kiana Chrisman, was born on May 11, 2024 and baptized at Trinity Lutheran Chapel by Pastor Soule. Sponsors are Owen and Emma Goebel and Norma Gonzalez.

The Sioux Trails Chapter of the American Guild of Organists continues its Summer Noontime Organ Recitals at 12:10 pm on Tuesdays at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 720 S. 2nd St., Mankato, with performances by Kaleb Schmidt on July 23 and John Stender on July 30. Trinity Lutheran-Nicollet’s Annual Ice Cream Social is Wednesday, July 24, from 4:30- 7pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 604 Main St., Nicollet. Enjoy BBQ's, egg salad, and ham sandwiches along with your favorite pies and root beer floats.

Mt. Olive’s Church Picnic is Saturday, July 27, at the Duck Lake Park Pavilion, from 3-7pm. Please bring a dish to share; meat, buns, water, and condiments will be provided. Also, bring your family’s life jackets, kayak/canoe/boat, tubes, lawn chairs, fishing gear, lawn games, etc.

Volunteers Needed: Mt. Olive provides volunteers at New 2 You on the first Saturday of each month to run the cash register and check out customers. A sign-up sheet for Saturday, August 3, is available on the narthex table. Sign up or call New 2 You at 507-385-1455 if you can help.

Mt. Olive Night at the Moondogs! Join us on Sunday, August 4, at 5:05pm as the Moondogs take on the Willmar Stingers. Tickets to the Dog House Suite Loft (which includes food & drinks) have been generously donated! Instead of a set cost, please give a generous donation towards Mt. Olive Lutheran School's Tuition Assistance Fund. Stop into the church office to drop off your donation and to pick up your tickets before they are gone!

Come Check Us Out! (pun intended):  In order to free up classroom space, the Mt. Olive Church Library has moved from the Fireside Room to the cozy nook just to your left as you exit the sanctuary. To check out a book, follow the instructions on the far-left bookshelf. Books may be returned to the basket provided. Yearly devotional books may be checked out for a full year. All other materials are due one month after they are checked out.

Local cable television broadcasts of Mt. Olive worship services have been discontinued. The City of Mankato decided not to renew the contract with Bethany Lutheran for operating the KTV channels. The only place where worship services are available now is online.

Copies of Mt. Olive’s 2023/24 Annual Report and a list of the 2024-25 church officers and board members are available on the narthex table.

Please save your pop can tabs!  Drop them off at the church office. Your donations help the Ronald McDonald House provide support and respite for families with seriously-ill or injured children. Services include lodging, meals, kitchen access and fully-stocked pantries, laundry facilities, K-12 school, workout facilities, and supportive, family-focused programming.
