At the voters’ meeting on Sunday, April 3, a motion was made and passed to proceed with the next step of the building project. This phase is the collection of “pledges” only, not the actual collection of funds that are pledged. During this phase the Fundraising Subcommittee will conduct small group “cottage meetings” to answer questions and further explain how members can consider how they might be able to financially support the project over the next three years. The pledge information will be gathered and compared to the existing funds and project costs. At the completion of the “cottage meetings” there will be another voters’ meeting updating the congregation on finances and design plans along with a proposal seeking approval for the project.
